The occurrence of a thunderstorm often requires citizens to practice safety precautions. In the case of severe weather, citizens may need to seek shelter, but sometimes safety precautions are not enough to protect your family or your home from the power of Mother Nature.
Unfortunately, one family felt Mother Nature’s power when lightning caused a Louisiana fire at their home, according to Houma Today.
The Louisiana fire occurred when neighbors reported hearing what sounded like a lightning strike against metal and seeing fire shooting from the home.
The Louisiana fire victims were not at home at the time of the blaze, and firefighters were able to rescue the family’s cat from the burning home.
The home was a total loss due to the Louisiana fire.

The safety of our community’s children is always a concern, especially when today’s children face so many dangers.
