Police officer dies in New Orleans auto accident

A police officer died following a New Orleans auto accident, according to WWLTV.

The New Orleans car accident occurred Monday night when Officer Alfred Celestain was hit by a pickup truck while on duty.

The driver of the truck, a 24-year-old man, was said to be under the influence at the time of the Louisiana auto accident. Officer Celestain died as a result of injuries suffered in the crash.

Another officer in the cruiser suffered New Orleans auto accident injuries as well.
